Niger's presidential palace said President Bazoum and his family are safe after the attempt to overthrow his government early this morning.
The soldiers in the presidential guard who raised the rebellion asked for help from their counterparts in the Garde nationale. and the army and the Garde nationale, are planning to challenge the forces guarding the president if they do not return on track.
