G20 Summit

Today is Saturday at the G20 summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the African Union has become a permanent member of the G20.
 Modi, in his opening speech, invited the African Union, represented by its president Azali Assoumani, to sit at the G20 leaders' table as a permanent member.
 The two-day meeting of the 18th G20 summit began today Saturday in New Delhi, India.
 China has long been supporting the AU in joining the G20, saying that the move will help the continent speak with one voice on international affairs and raise its status in the world (Yahaya).
