The Nigerian Army has killed 817 of what the national security headquarters called "terrorists" in three months.

 Similarly, the army said they rescued civilians who were kidnapped by the bandits and arrested more than 1,300 fugitives in different parts of the country during this period.

 The director of security information at the headquarters, Major General Edward Buba, made this known when he was talking to the press about the application of the Nigerian Army within three months across the country.

 Buba said those arrested include 42 kidnappers, 231 accomplices and 'terrorists', 33 robbers and 80 cattle thieves.

 He also said that the military arrested 325 gunmen, 27 railway vandals, 73 gun dealers, and 191 suspected crude oil thieves.

 The director added that 4,560 insurgents and their families surrendered to the army in the North East region, which is affected by the Boko Haram conflict in three months.

 He also said that the army recovered 501 weapons, 3,577 animals, 3,269 different types of ammunition and 674 other terrorist instruments.

 In the North-Eastern region of Nigeria, General Buba said that Operation Unity forces killed 240 terrorists and arrested 276 people suspected of being conspirators, while freeing 147 civilians who were kidnapped.  with them.

 He added that the army recovered 169 weapons, 1,195 different types of ammunition and 199 other insurgents' equipment including 57 AK47 rifles, one machine gun and 2 HK21 machine guns.

 In the North Central region, Buba said that Operation Safe Haven forces killed 94 terrorists, arrested 477 people while freeing 76 civilians, and seized 82 different types of weapons.  and 760 ammunition.

 He said that Operation Whirl Stroke forces also killed 83 terrorists and arrested 104 suspected persons and rescued 18 hostages, and recovered 37 weapons, 68 ammunitions and terrorist equipment.  127.

 In the South, he said Operation Delta Safe forces killed 69 fighters, arrested 191 oil thieves and their collaborators, and rescued 12 hostages.

 In addition, he said the soldiers also recovered over 6 million liters of stolen crude oil, over 3 million liters of gas, 188,650 liters of kerosene and 65,600 liters of fuel.

 He said the army also found and destroyed 252 boats and 28 pumps and recovered 51 different types of weapons.
