31-year-old Noureddin Bongo Valentin was very close to his father, Ali Bongo, and his adviser on many issues.
The soldiers arrested Noureddin along with the head of the Ministry of the State Palace, Ian Ghislain Ngoulou and some of his two assistants and some officials of the governor and the party that is fighting the PDG.
All of them are accused of treason, embezzlement and corruption.
